East Bay Regional Coalition

The East Bay Regional Coalition follows the regional task force model of the Department of Behavioral Healthcare, Developmental Disabilities & Hospitals. It is comprised of members of municipal prevention coalitions and other community stakeholders from Barrington, Bristol, East Providence, and Warren. The Coalition views prevention through a broad lens, considering similarities and differences among cities and towns, incorporating health promotion and substance misuse prevention strategies across all age groups, and coordinating events to increase collaboration and sustain prevention activities across the region.

Our regional coalition is made up of local coalition and other community members that reflect the communities at large. We strive to include the following sectors: Education, Youth serving/community – including faith, Government, Safety, Health, Business, and Youth. Anyone with a connection to our region and an interest in community prevention and wellness is invited to join us by contacting Denise Alves at [email protected] or by attending an upcoming meeting.

The Rhode Island Regional Coalitions are comprised of seven regions covering the State. The Coalitions represents parents, youth, law enforcement, schools, healthcare, businesses, government officials and community leaders. We assess the region’s substance use challenges and work together to develop policies and programs using evidence-based practices. If you are in need of assistance in another county or looking for additional resources, visit RIPrevention.org today.
